I aspire to create work which stimulates the imagination and also maintains usefull purpose. Using clay, I attempt to discover and explore the relationship between surface, form, and function. I’m intrigued and inspired by the repetition of lines, shapes, and colors that I see existing in nature, and continue to incorporate these natural patterns into my work.
This plate was created for the anual Haller Reunion. The Haller family is my dads mother's side of the family. Each year I create a piece of pottery that is autioned off to raise money for the reunion.
